In a heartwarming and inspiring story from Dubai, British expat Evren Ozka has managed to break records and transform his life in the process. Once a heavy smoker and drinker, he turned to fitness as a way to break free from his destructive habits. This transformation has not only made him healthier but also motivated him to take on remarkable challenges, including running marathons and setting new Guinness World Records.

Earlier this year, Ozka set a world record for the fastest crossing of the UAE on foot, completing the journey in less than six days, despite torrential rain. Now, he’s attempting another ambitious goal: breaking the Guinness World Record for the greatest distance covered on a treadmill within one week, currently set at 843.94 kilometers. His personal challenge is currently taking place at Embody Fitness in DIFC, where he’s aiming to run up to 900 kilometers over the course of one week.

Ozka’s story is not just one of personal achievement but also one of family commitment. His wife, Berna Subasi, and their two children, Buzul Leo and Boreas, have supported him throughout his journey. Through these challenges, he hopes to demonstrate to his children, and others, that perseverance can overcome any obstacle. His story serves as a powerful reminder of how the will to change and the drive to succeed can lead to exceptional accomplishments, even in the face of personal adversity
